Give Up, Robot is a Flash game by Matt Thorson, that was purchased by Adult Swim Games. It was developed using Flashpunk.

Gameplay

Give Up, Robot is a platformer in which the player controls a robot that can move, jump and most importantly, grapple onto walls and ceilings. The player must guide the robot through neon colored rooms to get to the room exit. The level environments are full of deadly obstacles such as killer red blocks, bottomless pits, blocks that fall when disturbed, and spinning blades that can be grappled onto to launch your robot through the air.

The game consists of 50 levels and after completion, Hard mode is unlocked, which consists of 11 much harder, new levels.

Trivia

  • Matt Thorson has said that Give Up, Robot might have been inspired by a subconscious desire to revisit Green Ogmo from Jumper 3.
  • Contrary to the opinions of many commenters, every level is balanced and fair except for Hard 6.
