100 Invaders is a remake of Space Invaders, by Jph Wacheski, employing Jph's characteristic trippy visual style.

GameplayEdit

Plays like Space Invaders, but with a few twists, such the ghosts of invaders you've slain returning to haunt you (these can only be killed by hitting them exactly in the center), and shields that are more irregularly placed and which move when hit, and power-ups to let you move further forward.

If you let a power-up or pod reach the bottom of the screen, however, it'll turn into a ghost. You have to shoot each orange pod three times before it turns into a power up. Complicating this is that when you move left, the pods move right, and vice versa. The more power ups you collect, the further you can move upwards.

The game also has the interesting mechanic of being able to transfer (with the left alt key) half of your power level to your next ship (in case your current ship dies), which adds an investment element to the game, so an interesting choice is whether to make use of your current power, or to share half if it for your next ship and make do with half. 320px|thumb|right|gameplay example by jph
